DESCRIPTION:October 8 is a documentary film about “the emergence of anti-Semitism on college campuses, in social media and on the streets since October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel.” The film will help you be better informed about what colleges and universities experienced after the tragedy in Israel of October 7th.\nOctober 8 will be introduced by temple member Hillarie Lieb, PhD, Associate Professor Emerita of Instruction at Northwestern University. She is a labor economist with an interest in gender issues, and will bring us a personal perspective regarding campus life today.\nCoffee and bagels and a schmeer will be provided.\nThere is no charge for this event, but register (below) so we know how many will attend.\nChildcare is available: So that everyone who is interested can come, we are offering care for children during the film.
