The talk will consider the contact points between Rembrandt and Amsterdam’s Jewish community, including the artist’s use of Hebrew, his Jewish subjects, and later Jewish painters who were inspired by him.\n\nLeslie Blacksberg holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Northern Renaissance Art. She has taught the humanities and art history at several universities.
