SUMMARY:JCFS: Navigating Conflict in the Home through Jewish Values
DESCRIPTION:\nA workshop for parents and guardians\nThis program explores how parents and guardians can approach and engage in difficult conversations through the lens of Jewish values, using these principles as a jumping-off point for meaningful dialogue and reflection. In this interactive workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn dialogue frameworks, reflect on your own household, and engage in guided conversation with one another. Additionally, the workshop will cover yellow- and red-flag behavior in youth and teens, as well as how to access outside support.\nThis will be a supportive space for parents/guardians to share perspectives with one another and encounter a range of resources.\nFacilitator Bio: Tema Zeldes-Roth ( https://www.jcfs.org/response/blog/new-outreach-coordinator ) (she/they) is the Parent/Guardian Outreach Coordinator at JCFS Response for Teens. As an educator, she has experience engaging young people through English Language Arts (ELA), visual arts, Jewish education, and social justice issues. She is passionate about fostering community resilience through dialogue and participatory education. She holds a BA from Brown University in Media & Cultural Studies, with a focus in Religious Studies.\nRegistration is required.\nThis program is provided though Har Zion’s partnership with JCFS Chicago ( http://www.jcfs.org/ ).\n
