Two Khanike (Hanukkah) Celebrations with MameLoshn
Hanukkah Party: Or rather, Khanike Party, and a Celebration of 30 Years of Yiddish KHANIKE with MameLoshn!
Featuring the local Yiddish Singing Group MameLoshn.
Sunday, December 21, the 8th candle of Hanukkah, MameLoshn presents two programs:
- First, or children—preschool up to middle school—with their special adults:
- Beginning at 4:30pm, an interactive concert designed for children,
- Followed at about 5:15pm by a latke dinner.
- Then, for adults and teens:
- Beginning at 6pm, a latke dinner,
- Followed at 6:30pm-8pm by a concert.
(The registration charge covers both the concert and the dinner.)
In both programs, we will:
- Sing Hanukkah songs with MameLoshn.
- Light Hanukkah candles–bring your menorah and candles—it’s the eighth night!
Enjoy a latke dinner—sufganiyot (jelly donuts) dinner, salad, cider, and, of course, latke!
- Dinner after the concert for the kids’ programs (5:15-5:45pm), and
- Dinner before the concert for the adult/teens concert (6-6:30pm)
- Both are dairy meals; the latkes themselves are parve.
- Enjoy Hanukkah gelt, play dreidel, and make Freylach (have fun!).
Freylach–Fun–for all!
Registration required.
