4th Annual “Shofar in the Park”
During the month of Elul leading up to the High Holy Days, the Shofar is blown every morning at minyan.
In celebration of the sounding of the Shofar in Elul, and the coming High Holy Day season, Temple Har Zion presents “Shofar in the Park.” Join the Har Zion Koven Religious School (KRS) students in a stroll from the temple to Austin Gardens. At the park, we will enjoy hearing the sound of the Shofar, singing songs, eating ice cream, and preparing our hearts for this most precious and sacred time of the year. Maimonides teaches that the Shofar is the blast that wakes us up to spiritual alertness for a sweet and good new year!
