Congregations Fighting Hunger Open Gardens

The local Congregations Fighting Hunger group is having and “open gardens” program, featuring the gardens of the following:

• Temple Har Zion, 1040 N. Harlem, River Forest
• Oak Park Temple, 1235 N. Harlem, Oak Park
• Ascension / St. Edmund Parish – 2 locations:
  • Third Day Garden, 188 S. Oak Park Ave, Oak Park
  • Susan Fleming Garden, 815 S. East, Oak Park
• St. Giles Community Garden, 1025 Columbian, Oak Park

Visit these community gardens, where fresh produce is grown to help support local food pantries. You’ll learn about our volunteer opportunities for supporting the food pantries and talk to the gardeners about growing vegetables and native plants.
