CSS Security Training

CSS Security Training

Dear Temple Har Zion member,

Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our congregation. This includes the cherished time we all share together at shul, as well as our individual and collective safety as we go about our daily lives. As part of a larger safety programming initiative we are undertaking this year, we will present a variety of security training opportunities.

To accommodate the various roles within our Shul community — staff, volunteers, regular attendees, visitors, etc. —  security trainings may include virtual classroom, in-person seminar, and hands-on training. As we are all critical participants in our collective safety, please help us take a first step in strengthening the most important link in our safety: You.

Our first security training is being offered by CSS Entry Point. This training session has been arranged in collaboration with the leadership of our synagogue. This is a one hour, stand alone virtual training program about the basics of security and how to volunteer to help protect your community. No background in security is expected, or required.

Topics covered will include:

  • Identifying security threats
  • Recognizing suspicious activity
  • The importance of volunteer security
  •  Reducing and responding to threats to your synagogue
  • How to volunteer to protect your community

Please register below.

Thank you!

Mike Weinstein,
Board President
