Family School
Family School is held once a month in conjunction with Sunday sessions of Koven Religious School (KRS). It usually begins at 9:30am, when KRS begins. KRS parents (and often also the children) are encouraged to join Family School, both to further their Jewish education and to create community within KRS.
Although aimed at KRS parents and children, all are welcome at Family School.
- January 21, 2024, 9:30-10:00am – Come experience a Family Service! Parents and children will have the chance to connect around sharing conversations about key prayers.
- February 4, 2024, 10:30-12 Noon – Learn how the current war has changed Israel from Israeli-American Yossi Klein Halevi, one of the preeminent voices in Israel today. For adults only; we invite everyone to join. Talk will be followed by a Q&A session. In person and streaming. Do not miss this one! Click here for details and to register.
- March 17, 9:30-10:00am – Parents and children are invited to do a pre-Purim social action project together.
- April 14, 9:30-10:00am – Parents and children are invited to learn from Hadar in a pre-Passover family education program. (The Hadar Institute is a center of Jewish life, learning, and practice that builds vibrant egalitarian communities in North America and Israel. Click here to visit their website.)
Family School, except when otherwise stated, is in person only. Reservations are not needed.
