Camp Shana Tovah High Holy Day Services for Children

On Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Camp Shana Tovah offers aga-appropriate services for children in our temple community from preschool up to grade 7.

All services and programs for preschoolers, school aged children, and teens are in person only.

Services: All Camp Shana Tovah services require registration; registration links are below.

All children in Har Zion’s care will be given drinks and snacks.

Childcare: Har Zion also offers childcare for children 18 months to 5 years, and for school-aged children in grades K-7 during all services for Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur. Information and registration links are here.

Services for Preschool Children

For Children ages 1-5, Camp Shana tovah Young Family offers services and holiday activities from 10-10:30am on:

  • Rosh Hashanah day 1, Saturday, September 12, 2026, 10-10:30am
  • Yom Kippur, Monday, September 21, 2026, 10-10:30am

At least one parent or responsible adult must attend these services with their child(ren). These preschool services are lead by Har Zion Preschool Director Claudine Guralnick (jewished@wsthz.org) and Ms. Jessie (Henry), who leads Tot Shabbat.

Childcare for our youngest, ages 18 months to 5 years, is available as well. Information and a link to sign up are here.

Services for School-aged Children

For students in grades K-7, Camp Shana Tovah offers services, followed by snacks, supervision, and board games on:

  • Rosh Hashanah day 1, Saturday, September 12, 2026, 10:45am-1pm
  • Rosh Hashanah day 2, Saturday, September 12, 2026, 10:45am-1pm
  • Yom Kippur, Monday, September 21, 2026, 10:45am-1pm

At least one parent or responsible adult must remain on the Har Zion campus while their school aged children are attending Camp Shana Tovah.

Programming for Teens

For students in grades 8-12, Camp Shana Tovah offers special programs beginning at 12:30pm on:

  • Rosh Hashanah day 1, Saturday, September 12, 2026
  • Rosh Hashanah day 2, Saturday, September 12, 2026
  • Yom Kippur, Monday, September 21, 2026

Registration is not required for the teen programs.

These students will have the opportunity to be paid counselors on both days of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur morning. For more information about this, contact KRS Principal David Schwartz at dschwartz@wsthz.org.
