Holocaust Survivor Isaac Daniel’s Seven Miracles
Living history with a Holocaust survivor
Isaac Daniel will discuss his experience during the Holocaust, described in his book, Seven Miracles: Surviving the Holocaust in Greece. As a child, he struggled to survive. Caught in a storm, under detention, and on the run, against all odds, he endured first the Italian and then the German occupation of Greece.
After liberation, he finished elementary and high school and started his studies at the National Technical University in Athens. Dr. Daniel immigrated to the United States and continued studying at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was a professor there for several years. He moved to Northwestern University where he taught and conducted research for thirty-two years.
