An Evening Celebrating Israel Independence Day
Israel Independence Day, Yom Ha’atzmaut, commemorates the Israeli Declaration of Independence on 14 May 1948.
Come to Har Zion at 6pm on Wednesday, April 22, and join the Koven Religious School students in celebrating Yom Ha’Atzmaut.
For the community, the evening includes an Israeli-style dinner with birthday cake, a demonstration Israeli dance, and perhaps a talk by Har Zion member Phyllis Rubin on Mercaz, the Zionist Organization of the Conservative/Masorti Movement.
Registration is required for everyone except KRS students with Wednesday classes—grades 2-7. We are assuming that they are coming.
Please register by Sunday evening, April 19.
Because this is being held on a work/school night, the evening’s schedule is tight; the community program will start at 6pm sharp. Try not to be late!
