MERCAZ Conservative/Masorti Initiative for the World Zionist Congress
The World Zionist Congress (WZC) is a function of the World Zionist Organization. The World Zionist Congress distributes a large amount of money to various Jewish organizations every year. The proportion of the money any one organization gets is dependent on the relative number of votes the organization gets. When you vote for MERCAZ, the Conservative/Masorti initiative, you will be “helping direct tens of millions towards helping southern Israel rebuild, protecting democracy in Israel, strengthening our own Jewish communities, and promoting pluralism in the Jewish state.”
A spokesperson from MERCAZ will be attending Har Zion minyan at 8am, on Thursday, March 20, and will speak about the election during the breakfast following the service. You can join in person, or the talk will be available on the minyan’s Zoom.
