Volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository
A Har Zion Sisterhood and Social Action Committee Project
Har Zion member Cindy Klein Banai has arranged for the Har Zion family to volunteer afternoon at the Chicago Food Depository, Thursday, July 10, 1-3:30pm.
We will “repack” donations: “You will repack donated and purchased food. The food we receive at our warehouse comes in bulk quantities, and volunteers break it down into manageable sizes. Role:Repack, sort, inspect and box shipments of produce, bread, or dry goods into smaller quantities.”
This program is open to adults and to children aged 11 and older accompanied by a responsible adult, and is limited to the first 20 volunteers.
