October, 2026, Har Zion Herald — Kindness

The major focus of the October issue of the Har Zion Herald is Gemilut Chassadim, Acts of Loving Kindness, and Har Zion’s Chesed (Loving-Kindness) Network, which was launched on the second day of Rosh Hashanah.
Rabbi Glick put it well:
To launch the Chesed Network, and in tribute to the spirit of our people and our nation, we dedicate this first Herald of the new year to deeds of loving kindness and service. We especially invite everyone to participate in the work of the Chesed Network
There is also, of course, information on the events, programs, and services coming up in October. One you won’t want to miss is Simchat Torah, which is Saturday evening, October 3, beginning at 6:30pm. Simchat Torah is always fun for folks of all ages, but it will especially nice this year because Koven Religious School students will be singing some of the prayers.
And remember, the text in the reddish orange in the online version of the Herald is web links to further information. Check them out!
Thank you to minyanaire and long time Har Zion member Vladimir Tsesis for supporting — again!— the production of this issue of the Herald!
