Sisterhood (and Musical) Shabbat

Sisterhood (and Musical) Shabbat

The 2025/5785 Har Zion Sisterhood Shabbat will be on Saturday, 26 of April.

Several Sisterhood members have already volunteered for parts in the service, but there are many more parts still available, both in Hebrew and in English. And we will need help in before and after, for setup and cleanup.

We will also be having a special kiddush honoring the many contributions of Phyllis Rubin, followed by a special presentation by Diane Redleaf sharing her recently published book of poetry, Ode to the States, which is available for purchase at the Phyllis Baren Gift Shop. The poetry is lovely and Diane does a great job capturing the essence of all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia.

The suggested donation for kiddush from Sisterhood members for the Sisterhood Shabbat is $18 per person. In lieu of making a cash donation, you can help by dropping off toiletries again this year to be used as table decoration and donated to a local shelter for our tikkun olam project, or helping with set up or clean up.

Please let us know at sisterhood@wsthz.org if you would like to take part, either in the service and/or to help with kiddush.

More information on the Shabbat Morning Service is in the Shabbat Morning Service event page.
