Har Zion Office, Building, and Schools Closings for Passover

  • The temple office and building: 
    • Wednesday, April 1, close at 1pm. (Note that the 5:30pm Ma’ariv service is Zoom only.)
    • Closed for Passover: Thursday, April 2, to Friday, April 3, except for services and the 2nd Seder.
    • Closed for Passover: Wednesday, April 8, to Thursday, April 9, except for services.
  • Har Zion preschool:
    • Closed for Spring Break: Monday, March 30, to Friday, April 3.
    • Closed for Passover: Wednesday, April 7, and Thursday, April 8.
  • Koven Religious School:
    • KRS Passover Break: Begins on Sunday, March 29.
    • Classes resume on Sunday, April 12..

Friday, March 20:

Last Day for:  1st Seder Match-up  Can you host additional people at your 1st seder—or—do you want to find a 1st seder to attend? For either, please fill out this form. 

Friday, March 27:

Last Day to:  Register  Register for the Har Zion Community Second Seder.

Monday, March 30:

Last Day To:  Sell your chametz  Sell your chametz to Rabbi Glick.

Tuesday, March 31:

  • Pick up Passover food that you ordered from Zelda’s Catering
  • Evening: Search for Chametz at your home.

Wednesday, April 1 — Erev Passover:

Temple office and building close at 1:00pm; the preschool and Koven Religious School are spring break.

  • The Fast of the Firstborn, Ta’anit Bechorot, begins at 5:09am and ends 6:58pm. Or, firstborns may attend minyan today to conclude their fast.
  • 8am: Morning Minyan with Siyum for Firstborn; in person and streaming on Zoom only: Zoom ID# 799 405 500
  • Morning: Burn Chametz at home.
  • Until the temple closes at 1:00pm: Pick up Passover food that you ordered from Zelda’s Catering
  • 5:30pm: Passover Ma’ariv, virtual only, and streaming on Zoom only: Zoom ID# 814 4591 520
    (Watch it while you prepare for your First Seder.)
  • Evening: First Seder.
  • 6:58pm: Candle Lighting.

Thursday, April 2 — Pesach Day 1:

Temple office and building are closed (except for the services), and the preschool is on spring break.
The morning Passover service replaces 8am morning minyan.
