Looking Forward–Programming for Children During the Days of Awe

Notes:

This page is under construction; many of the links, particularly the registration ones, don’t work.

This current page has only information on the services and programming for children and youth during the Days of Awe. The child-specific programming schedule for before and after the Days of Awe is in  Main High Holy Days Services and Programming at Har Zion..

Details of the High Holy Days services and programming for the Days of Awe that are not specifically for children is in Main High Holy Days Services and Programming at Har Zion..And programming/services for the end of the year 5786 and for the period between the Days of Awe and Simchat Torah—for children and for adults—are also included in that page.

Services and Supervision for Kindergarten-7th Grade children:

We suggest that the parents/guardians of school-aged children take them to the main Days of Awe services at about 10:45am, so they can hear the Shofar. (Except on Rosh Hashanah Day 1, which is Shabbat, so the shofar is not sounded. Tashlish is moved to Day 2 of Rosh Hashanah.)
