Simchat Torah, Service of Resilience
Simchat Torah marks the end of the annual Torah scroll reading and the beginning of the new cycle for the coming year. It is celebrated with musicians, singing, dancing, and merry processions of people carrying Torahs and children waving flags.

The week-long harvest festival of Sukkot commemorates the dwelling of the Israelites in tents during their 40-year journey in the Sinai desert. We eat meals and sleep in a sukkah, and shake the etrog and lulav. Har Zion preschool children decorate the temple sukkah.
